Who is Dave

Dave is a lifelong vintage motorcycle fanatic, mechanic, and YouTube creator operating right out of Edgewater, Florida. His obsession started decades ago riding Zundapps and Triumphs, usually finding himself completely on his own when it came to tracking down parts or finding a mechanic who knew how to turn a wrench on them. Everything changed when he met Don West, a legendary former Bultaco and Moto-Morini dealer out of Pennsylvania. Dave apprenticed under Don, mastering the rare art of classic bike restoration and repair. When Don passed away, Dave bought the shop to keep the legacy alive, eventually moving the entire operation down to Florida. Today, you can find Bullpen Cycles buzzing at 143 West Palm Way.

Bullpen Cycles isn't your average repair shop. It is a haven for the unusual, specializing in classic Bultacos, Hercules, vintage two-strokes, and oddball gems. It also proudly stands as Floridaโ€™s exclusive authorized SWM dealer. Step inside and you will find a treasure trove of pristine restorations, active projects, hidden barn finds, and rare spare parts.

When he isnโ€™t covered in grease, Dave is sharing his dry wit and no-nonsense perspective on the popular Bullpen Cycles YouTube channel. Viewers tune in for raw, authentic garage blunders, swap meet scrambles, auction hunts, and exclusive shop tours. Dave keeps it entirely realโ€”no fake drama, just pure motorcycle history, deep mechanical knowledge, and a great community of riders. If you appreciate old-school iron and authentic storytelling, you are in the right place.

About Bruno

Bruno is the German Shepherd who came into our lives after we lost our first rescue, Inga, to cancer. There will never be another Inga, just as there will never be another of the dogs who came before her. But Bruno is a rescue dog who brings me joy in a way only a rescue dog can.

Bruno's story began with hardship. At just three months old, he was abandoned in Georgiaโ€”left chained and starving. By the time we adopted him at about six months old, he had already passed through several rescues. He was still undernourished, fearful, and far too skinny.

Because his critical growth months were stolen from him, Bruno is smaller than most German Shepherds. What he lacks in size, however, he more than makes up for in heart. All he wants is to be everyone's best friendโ€”and he succeeds.

As for his shop duties, Bruno's main job is keeping me company on the road. He travels with me wherever dogs are welcome, and he's truly a gift from God.

Not everyone is a fan. Some people say, "If it weren't for the dog, I would have watched the video."

I disagree. Bruno is wonderful.

That's why we designed a T-shirt just for him and the people who enjoy following his adventures.

Bruno makes cameos whenever he can, and his personality always shines through. The truth is, without Brunoโ€”or Inga and the other German Shepherds who came before himโ€”there would be no Bullpen Cycles. He keeps me company wherever he's allowed to go.

Of course, dogs aren't welcome everywhere. Sometimes I have to go places where Bruno can't join me. When that happens, he gets a trusted Bruno-sitter. But whenever possible, Bruno comes first.

Follow Bruno's adventures with me on YouTube, Facebook, and beyond. And if you see us out and about, be sure to say hello!
